I’ve known Keegan’s parents since they got married. I’ve photographed numerous family photo sessions for these guys! And I love seeing the family grow, and grow up! Keegan came out to the studio on his actual 2nd birthday. We still had decent snow, and Keegan loved playing in it! Little Miss Nelda was one of my first sessions since I installed french doors in my studio. Nelda’s big brown eyes caught the natural light and it’s her eyes that draw the viewer in. I’m so pleased with this session! And it looks like the new addition to the studio is going to pay off! Her out fit complimented her adorable little curls, and the second out fit was just as darling as the first! Happy First Birthday Nelda! And thanks for letting me take your one year photos! I know it’s taken me longer than usual to get around to posting weddings, but I was fortunate to have a productive Fall and now that I’ve caught up a bit, I’m excited to share Matt and Lauren’s gorgeous wedding!! The venue was Settler’s Creek in Post Falls, ID. This was the first wedding I had ever shot there, and I was giggling when I parked because there were adorable bunny rabbits hopping around everywhere! Settler’s Creek was the perfect back drop for Matt and Lauren. Matt is a veterinarian practicing in southern Idaho now, so the rural farm- type setting was awesome! That’s right, I had the privilege of photographing triplets in October! Jody’s family was a delight to work with and I think these images capture the spirit of these 20 month old siblings. What kiddo can sit still for photos?! Kids love to play, they love to laugh (and cry!) and hug each other. This family was on point when it came to their out fits, their poses and the essence of a fun family photo session. I’m so happy I got to take these images! Sept. 12, 2015 Jesseca and Dexter exchanged vows at Hills Resort at Priest lake, Idaho. It was a gorgeous day for two beautiful souls in love. I’m so happy I got to witness it all! Kelsie McGregor did the hair for all the lovely ladies. Jesseca’s dress was from Marcella’s http://marcellasbridal.com/ and Justin, owner of Amp’d Entertainment http://www.ampdspokane.com/home.html was there to kick the party off! OK everybody this is the blog I have been wanting to post all summer! Crystal and Tony’s wedding was the first wedding at my family’s wedding venue! It was Aug. 29th and as you may recall there was a huge wind storm/dust storm warning in affect! But the show had to go on, and I think that everything turned out fabulous!!! The getting ready photos you see here were taken in my studio and the guys got ready in the carriage house in an area of the property that is far from my studio so Crystal and Tony would not see each other before the big reveal. Everyone had a good time, relaxing and just sort of doing what needed to be done on wedding day. This group is so laid back that I never anticipated any panic attacks, I’m sure anyone else would have been freaking out at the storm warning, but these guys knew it was out of their control so they pushed any worry aside and enjoyed their special day to the full potential! Thank you Crystal and Tony for being such a special couple to my family and I! We love you guys and your families dearly and wish you all the best in your married life together! Cheers! Emma

Where to start with Josh and Larissa. Since this is my business blog I should keep it professional, but since it’s Josh and I’ve known him close to 15 years that’s going to be difficult to do! I’m so happy that Josh was able to lock down a chick as cool as Larissa. (I’m sure he tricked her or something) but never the less they’re a great pair and now they have two playful boys! It was so nice to get to photograph Jennifer’s beautiful family! And after talking to her, it came out that she had gone to Facebook to ask friends who they recommended for family photos. I was super flattered that Jennifer and her husband chose me!!! There are so many photographers out there, and then there are so many amateurs out there claiming to be photographers, so it makes me super happy when a savvy, fashionable couple with a discerning eye can see to pro from the hobbyist! Thank you thank you thank you for trusting me with your family’s history! My business is more than just shooting and handing my client a disc. After the session I pour through the RAW files picking and choosing the best of the best, then I convert the images to JPG files and start the editing and art work process. After all that I pick my favorites again to share a sneak peek online, then I back up every photo session in 2 different places (external passport and CD for both my client and I). This back up is super important because if anything ever happens to my client’s cd (i.e. they misplace it or it gets scratched!) I am able to burn them another disc! We had a blast shooting Kasey’s Senior photos! We started the session at the studio and shot in the fields, at the barns and even in the car junk yard! Then we traveled over to beautiful Mirabeau Park and shot in the river. Special shout out to Kasey’s mom Michele for holding my off camera lights! I never warn parents that they may end up being the assistant at their child’s senior photo shoot! I just casually ask them to hold something, or adjust a hair or hem line. Well, I guess the secret is out now, parents and friends you may be asked to assist on a session! Hahaha Thanks Kasey and Michele for an awesome session!!! xoxo, Emma
