Ella’s 3 Month Session

Ella had such a beautiful newborn session, so I was super happy when her mom Holly told me she wanted to go ahead and do 3, 6, 9 and 12 month photo sessions!  To see Ella’s new born session check out:  https://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=a.825392924213666.1073741977.131591726927126&type=3

Josh C.V. Class of 16

It was so much fun to flip through Josh’s Senior photos, especially when we could compare them with his older brothers’!  I like how each guy is their own person.  Their parents are super proud of all their boys, and I feel so fortunate to have gotten to be their Senior photo photographer.  Congrats on graduating Josh!  -Emma

Jared Gonzaga Prep Class of ’16

The camera loved Jared.  I know most Senior guys are just “doing photos for their parents.”  It’s so important to get professional images, so you have them to share with family, and to have on display at your graduation party!  I didn’t realize it at first, but Jared’s older sister is a client of mine.  I haven’t photographed her family in a while, so it took me a bit to put a name to a face.  When the light bulb came on I was instantly energized and excited for Jared’s session.  Hahaha  It helps to know your clients, their family, their interests and hobbies.  I had a great time taking Jared’s Senior photos.  Congrats on graduating!  – Emma

Emma Class of 2016

Emma from Flushing, Michigan wanted to do something different from her high school peers.  So when her family planned a trip to Spokane, she jumped at the chance to do Senior photos here!  We scheduled Emma’s session for a Sunday morning, and as I drove the Manito Park I saw raindrops on my windshield!  When I arrived at Manito everyone was in such great spirits!  I don’t even think that cancelling the session was an option for Emma!  She powered through the session like a pro, changing into 3 different out fits, incorporating her beautiful ukelele and we even threw in the blue umbrella (which happened to match her ukelele case!)  Thank you Emma and family for spending a soggy Sunday morning at the beautiful Manito Park gardens.  I think the bright flowers and Em’s cheery smile make these photos happy and light!  Good luck at Michigan State!  Go Spartans!  xoxo, Emily (I also go by Emma!)

Miss Paislee Turns One

I am so happy I got to do my first family session with Jan and Brandon and their children!  I’ve known Brandon a long time, but with our schedules and them moving to Oregon, I don’t think we ever had the opportunity to do photos until this summer.  Jan knows how to shop for her little Princess, Paislee has the cutest outfits!  The boys did awesome posing with dad, and with their little sister.  Thanks Jan and Brandon for the coffee that day, it was a hot long session, and I’m proud of us all for making it through! Hahaha Congrats on the beautiful family!  I hope you cherish these images, they’re pretty perfect!  xoxo, Emma

Austin- Davenport H.S. Class of 2016

Austin’s senior photo session was a blast!  I know guys can kind of drag their feet when it comes to photos, especially when we combine senior photos with family photos!  ‘What?!  I have to take more photos?!’  is probably what Austin was thinking.  But he was such a trooper, and I think he had fun.  Just check out the Batman images!  Good work Batman!  Congrats on your Senior year!  Enjoy it!  -Emma

Shelby Family and Yacht Club

We prevailed over the weather on July 25th!  The Hayden Lake Yacht Club gathered for a Mexican themed fiesta, complete with over sized Corona inflatables, a 3 picture margarita mixer and the tastiest carne asada ever made!  Jim and his family know how to entertain!  Jim’s long time friend planned to visit during the Yacht Club party so Jim asked me to photograph this special time when two friends came together to visit and celebrate.  It was quite the event and everyone had a wonderful time!  Thank you so much for the amazing food and memories!  Cheers!  Emma

Crystal + Tony = Engagement

I’ve known Crystal a long time and I’ve had the pleasure of being her family photographer the whole time.  I was so excited when her boyfriend Tony disclosed to Crystal’s mom and I his plan to propose!  It was at their Christmas party while we were doing the gift swap that Tony rigged it so Crystal opened her engagement ring and he proposed!  She was very surprised and after all the excitement the wedding planning commenced!  Since they had about a 9 month engagement we scheduled engagement photos right away.  And on a sunny winter day we met up at my house and ventured south to Freeman and Rockford, WA.  I can’t wait for their wedding!  Congrats Crystal and Tony!  xoxo, Emma

Felicia + Jeremy = Wedding

What an incredible day!  Felicia was on point with her gorgeous up do, Jeremy was looking comfortable in his blue jeans and boots.  Everyone was in a party mood!  I got to spend the day with some of my favorite people, I got to dance, and enjoy some good food from Sonnenberg’s meats.  I spend as much time with Jeremy and Felicia as I could, I even drove them to the Northern Quest casino at the end of the night.   Haha How many photographer’s offer that service?  I love seeing Tessa and Anthony at 231 North Event center, they are the best wedding venue owners!  It was an incredible day, check out all the hilarious photos below.  The balloon release was NOT planned!  That’s my favorite moment of the photo session, when Cole accidentally let that ribbon slip through his fingers, his reaction was awesome, complete with chasing after the rogue balloon.  There was all levels of dancing, all ages of dancers, all sorts of dance moves, and the funniest garter catch (or lack of) I’ve ever seen.  That’s Miles, my best friend’s fiance standing in the group of “single” guys waiting to catch the garter.  He’s quite the talker and wasn’t paying attention when the garter was tossed!  Way to go Miles!  Any way, congrats to Felicia and Jeremy!  I wish you all the happiness in the world! xoxo, Emma

Anne’s Senior Portraits

Anne and her family scheduled Anne’s senior photo session while they were in Spokane visiting Anne’s grandmother.  It was fun to include Anne’s grandma, and their pups because we shot on location where Anne and her family have so many fond memories.  We took photos on the bridge that Anne and her cousins helped their grandfather build.  We reenacted a photo of Anne on the tire swing that she grew up swinging on.  It was such a special session for everyone and I’m happy I could be there to capture it.
